about
Wren, founder of Atelier Wren
Short bio
Wren is a textile artist, teacher and the founder of Atelier Wren, a small studio for heirloom patterns and slow-making lessons. She has taught more than 4,000 makers and hosts the podcast The Making Hour.
Long bio
Wren founded Atelier Wren in 2014 at her kitchen table with a borrowed sewing machine and a stack of linen scraps. Twelve years later, the studio offers original patterns, naturally dyed kits and online courses to makers in more than thirty countries.
Her work centers on honest materials, unhurried technique and pieces made to be passed down. She hosts The Making Hour, a weekly podcast about craft and creative life, and lives in the countryside with her family and an ever-growing stash of wool.
